We respect your right to delete your account and personal data at any time.
How to request deletion (in-app)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the app:
- Open the Jesus in Five app.
- Go to the menu (☰) → Settings.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. This action is permanent and irreversible.
Your account and associated data are deleted immediately upon confirmation.
How to request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us at info@jesusinfive.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile (name, email, account identifiers)
- All your journal entries and reflections
- Your AI-generated reflections and guidance
- Your progress, streaks, and activity history
- Your community/circle memberships and connections
- Your recovery and journal access codes
This deletion is permanent. Because your journal content is encrypted, once your account is deleted it cannot be recovered.
What data is retained, and for how long
- Subscription / purchase records are retained by the app store you purchased through (Apple App Store or Google Play) and our payment processor as required by law (tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations). These records are held by those providers, not by us, and are retained for the period required by applicable law.
We do not retain any other personal data after deletion.
