Our Story
I grew up in Latin America in a family where faith was cultural — present at Christmas and Easter, absent most other days. God was a background character in a story I wasn't sure I was part of.
That distance followed me into adulthood. I built a business. I worked hard. I provided. I was, by most measures, doing fine. But I had a persistent sense that something important was missing — not dramatically, just quietly, every morning.
A few years ago, something shifted. I won't go into every detail, but there was a period of difficulty — the kind that strips away what you thought was holding you up. In that season, I began watching a series about the life of Jesus. And then I started opening a Bible.
I wasn't studying. I was searching.
What I found — slowly, unevenly, with more questions than answers — was a peace I hadn't felt in years. Not the absence of problems, but the presence of something firm underneath them. I began sitting with a passage of Scripture each morning. I began noticing grace in small places. I began handing over burdens I had been carrying alone. Five minutes at a time.
Jesus in Five is the journal I built from that experience. It is for the person who has walked with God for decades and needs a daily rhythm to stay close. And it is for the person who is just beginning to wonder — as I was — whether five honest minutes could change everything.
I live in South Florida with my four sons. This is the most personal thing I have ever created.
